An ice-covered point on the NW extension of Fletcher Peninsula; it is partially encompassed by the Abbot Ice Shelf. The point marks the division of Eights Coast and Bryan Coast. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Ray L. Pfrogner, U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) geomagnetist-seismologist at Byrd Station, 1961-62.
