A peak (2,400 m) near the S end of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains, rising at the E side of Nimitz Glacier, 15 mi SSE of Mount Craddock. First mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1957-59. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for J.H. Wilson, radioman on Navy R4D reconnaissance flights in the area during January 1958.
