Description

A small rock peak, 720 m, close to the S edge of the Ross Ice Shelf, about midway between the mouths of Good and Ramsey Glaciers. Discovered and photographed by the U.S. Antarctic Service (USAS) on Flight C of February 29-March 1, 1940, and named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Vance Woodall, Seaman, USN, who lost his life in an unloading accident on U.S. Navy (USN) OpHjp, 1946-47.
