An isolated rock island lying off the eastern end of Sabrina Coast, approximately 10 mi NE of Henry Islands. Delineated from aerial photographs taken by U.S. Navy (USN) Operation Highjump (1946-47), and named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Amos Chick, carpenter on the sloop Vincennes during the U.S. Exploring Expedition (USEE) (1838-42) under Lieutenant Charles Wilkes.
