A nunatak lying SW of Mount Mende in the Sky-Hi Nunataks, Ellsworth Land. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1987 after Christian Johann Doppler (1803-53), Austrian scientist who discovered the Doppler effect in physics.
