Ice-covered escarpment that overlooks the N coast of Victoria Land between Cooper Spur and Cape North. Mapped by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE), 1962, which gave the name after L.J. Dwyer, former Director of the Australian Commonwealth Bureau of Meteorology, a member of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) Executive Planning Committee.
