Description (see definition): An ice-covered escarpment, 30 mi long and over 3,000 m high, trending in a N-S direction and forming the E edge of Nilsen Plateau and Fram Mesa in the Queen Maud Mountains. Discovered in December 1934 by the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (ByrdAE) geological party under Quin Blackburn, and named by Byrd for Charles J. Faulkner, Jr., chief counsel of Armour and Co. of Chicago, contributors to the expedition.
