A large glacier on the E coast of Palmer Land, flowing NE from Cat Ridge and entering the Weddell Sea between Imshaug Peninsula and Morency Island. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1974. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Louis Gain, naturalist on the French Antarctic Expedition, 1908-10, author of several of the expedition reports on zoology and botany.
