Description

Bay lying immediately E of Mount Alexander along the S coast of Joinville Island. Discovered in January 1893 by Thomas Robertson, master of the ship Active, one of the Dundee whalers. Surveyed by the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1953 and named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1956 for Prof. Alfred C. Haddon (1855-1940), who helped Dr. W.S. Bruce with his preparations for scientific work with the Dundee whaling expedition.
