A snow-covered valley between West Prongs and Elliott Ridge in southern Neptune Range, Pensacola Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1956-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant (j.g.) James G.L. Jones, USN, a member of the Ellsworth Station winter party in 1958.
