Description

A sharp summit (2,030 m) in the Cathedral Peaks, rising 3 mi E of Shackleton Glacier and 10 mi NW of Mount Wade, in the Prince Olav Mountains. Discovered and photographed by U.S. Navy (USN) OpHjp, 1946-47. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for 1st Lieutenant Leroy S. Kenney, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR), helicopter and airplane pilot with U.S. Navy (USN) Squadron VX-6 during Deep Freeze operations.
