A prominent rock bluff 5 mi ENE of Faure Peak, rising to 2,800 m and forming a projection along the N side of the Wisconsin Plateau of the Horlick Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Malcolm W. Lentz, USN, officer in charge of the South Pole Station winter party, 1962.
