Description (see definition): Reddish rock cliffs rising steeply from the sea to about 305 m and forming the N side of the entrance to Suspiros Bay, at the W end of Joinville Island. Surveyed by the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1953-54. The name, given in 1956 by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC), is descriptive of the red color of the rocks, madder being a red vegetable dye.
