A peak (2,730 m) on the N side of Croll Glacier, 5 mi SE of Bramble Peak, in the Victory Mountains, Victoria Land. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Robert W. Capling, U.S. Navy (USN), aviation machinist's mate and flight engineer on Hercules aircraft at McMurdo Station during Operation Deep Freeze 1967 and 1968.
