Description

Mountain, 1,610 m, standing on the S coast of South Georgia immediately N of Novosilski Bay. Surveyed by the South Georgia Survey (SGS) in the period 1951-57, and named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) for Francis C. Fraser, British zoologist; member of the scientific staff at the Discovery Investigations Marine Station, Grytviken, 1926-27, 1928-29, and 1930, who also worked on the Discovery in 1927 and on Discovery II between 1929 and 1931.
