An ice-free mesa of 0.8 mi extent, located 0.9 mi ENE of Green Mesa in the W part of Insel Range, Victoria Land. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (1997) after Donald E. Canfield, School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, who made a geochemical analysis of the Onyx River and Lake Vanda with William J. Green (Green Mesa) in the 1980-81, 1986-87, and 1987-88 field seasons.
