Description (see definition): A snow-covered mountain, 2,790 m, standing 5 mi NE of Mount Ulmer in the N part of the Sentinel Range. Discovered by Lincoln Ellsworth on his trans-Antarctic flight of Nov. 23, 1935. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Palle Mogensen, scientific leader at South Pole Station, 1957-58.
