A nunatak rising to 1,600 m at the S margin of Goodenough Glacier, 9 mi SW of Blanchard Nunataks in W Palmer Land. The feature has a sheer NW face 150 m high; the SE side is level with the snow plateau. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from U.S. Navy aerial photographs taken 1966-69. Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1977 after Richard G. Barrett, British Antarctic Survey (BAS) surveyor at Stonington Island and Adelaide Island stations, 1974-76.
