A steep bluff 2 mi S of Koopman Peak, rising over 2,600 m and forming a major projection between Davisville and Quonset Glaciers along the N wall of the Wisconsin Range. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Commander Clifford D. Moran, USN, aircraft pilot during U.S. Navy (USN) Operation Deep Freeze (OpDFrz) 1966 and 1967.
