Description

Rock lying 2 mi W of Fort William in the Aitcho Islands, in the South Shetland Islands. The name Cape Morris was given by DI personnel on the Discovery II in 1935 to the W extremity of Robert Island, but this point has since been identified as the original location of Fort William. Morris Rock was applied by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1961 to preserve the name in the area.
