Description (see definition): Strait about 80 mi long and from 4 to 15 mi wide, separating James Ross and Vega Islands from Trinity Peninsula. Discovered in October 1903 by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (SwedAE) under Nordenskjold, who named it for Crown Prince (later King) Gustav of Sweden.
