The mainly ice-covered heights (2,170 m), elliptical in plan and 15 mi long, which rise S of Anare Pass and form the NW end of the Admiralty Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy photography, 1960-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Edwin S. Robinson, U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) geophysicist at McMurdo Sound in 1960. He participated in a number of geophysical traverses, including his leadership of the South Pole Station Traverse, 1962-63.
