Description (see definition): A bare rocky point from which the Wilson Piedmont Glacier has receded, lying 4 mi S of Dunlop Island on the coast of Victoria Land. First mapped by the British Antarctic Expedition (BrAE), 1910-13. The name was suggested by Seaman Forde, and adopted by Taylor, for its likeness to Spike Island at Plymouth, England.
