Mainly ice-covered mountain, 695 m, with a rock outcrop on the E side, 7 mi NNE of Gluck Peak in the SW part of Alexander Island. A number of peaks in this general vicinity first appear on the maps of the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48. This peak, apparently one of these, was mapped from the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) air photos by Searle of the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1960. Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) after Alexander Borodin (1834-87), Russian composer.
