Description (see definition): A linear volcanic outcrop 2.5 miles long on the northwest slope of Mount Morning, Victoria Land. The ridge extends north-south and is 0.5 mile west of Weidner Ridge. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (1994) after Michael L. Savage, Department of Meteorology, University of Wisconsin; along with Charles Stearns, developed the use of automatic weather stations in Antarctica during four field seasons, 1980-86.
