Description

A prominent summit 1175m located midway on the range separating the Garwood Valley and Marshall Valley in the McMurdo Dry Valleys area. Named by one of the Scottish members of the biology team from Canterbury University, which had done much work in this area. Airthrey is Gaelic for high point, and is also the name for the ground on which the Stirling University was founded. Named by New Zealand in 2000.
