A rectangular ice-covered valley between Mount Kauffman and Mount Kosciusko in the NE end of Ames Range, Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Thomas I. Brown, U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) meteorologist at Byrd Station in 1963.
