Description (see definition): Sharp peak, 760 m, standing immediately SE of Blanchard Ridge on the W coast of Graham Land. Probably first sighted by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition (BelgAE), 1897-99. Charted by the French Antarctic Expedition (FrAE), 1908-10, under Charcot, who named it for Senor Chaigneau, then Gov. of Provincia de Magallanes, Chile.
