A dome-shaped summit at the E side of Bartlett Glacier, located 2 mi directly W of Lee Peak in the Queen Maud Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-64. Named by New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee (NZ-APC) for George Donald (Don) Cowie, leader of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE) which visited the region in 1969-70.
