A prominent solitary nunatak that rises above the ice in the eastern part of the Dyer Plateau of Palmer Land, approximately 15 mi W of the head of Clifford Glacier. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1974. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Robert Daniels, U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) biologist at Palmer Station, 1975.
