A nunatak about 3 mi SSE of Mount Peter in the Athos Range, Prince Charles Mountains. Plotted from Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) air photos. Named for P.L. Dawson, senior diesel mechanic at Mawson Station in 1964.
