Description
(see definition):
A high ice-covered island, 10 mi long and 5 mi wide, at the W side of the mouth of Ninnis Glacier. Discovered by the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (AAE) (1911-14) under Douglas Mawson, who named it for Sir Hugh Dixson of Sydney, a patron of the expedition.
