A prominent snow-covered, dome-shaped mountain (950 m) between Rohss Bay and Croft Bay, in the N portion of James Ross Island. Surveyed by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), 1958-61. Named by UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) for Alban T.A. Dobson (1885-1962), British civil servant, Secretary of the International Whaling Commission, 1949-59, and President of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, 1952-55.
