A nunatak 2.5 mi W of Mount Cox in the NW portion of Emlen Peaks in the Usarp Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Walter H. Dodd of the Public Information Office, National Science Foundation, who worked at McMurdo Station in the 1966-67 and 1967-68 austral summers.
