Description

A roughly rectangular snow-covered tableland, 7 mi long and 6 mi wide, with an elevation somewhat over 2,400 m, located between Mount Bennett and Mount Butters in the E part of the Bush Mountains. Discovered and photographed by U.S. Navy (USN) OpHjp (1946-47) on the flights of Feb. 16, 1947, and named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant George H. Anderson, USN, pilot of Flight 8 of that date from Little America to the South Pole and return.
