Description (see definition): An ice rise 1.5 mi in extent, rising above the ice of Mendelssohn Inlet in the SW part of Alexander Island. First mapped from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48, by Searle of the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1960. Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) after Antonin Dvořák (1841-1904), Bohemian composer.
