Description (see definition): A large nunatak (2,165 m) jutting out from the center of Bermel Escarpment, in the Thiel Mountains. The name was proposed by Peter Bermel and Arthur Ford, co-leaders of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Thiel Mountains party that surveyed these mountains in 1960-61. Named for Raymond L. Elliott, geologist with the Thiel Mountains party.
