An ice-covered peninsula lying N of Beethoven Peninsula and Mendelssohn Inlet in W Alexander Island. Mapped from trimetrogon air photography taken by Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48, and from survey by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), 1948-50. Named by UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) after Beethoven's Eroica symphony (1804), in association with Beethoven Peninsula.
