Point 4.5 mi NE of Humann Point on the W side of Brabant Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. Roughly charted by the French Antarctic Expedition (FrAE) under Charcot, 1903-05. Photographed by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1956-57, and mapped from these photos in 1959. Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) for Sir Alexander Fleming (1881-1955), Scottish bacteriologist who discovered penicillin in 1928.
