A cluster of nunataks and low peaks rising above a network of ice-drowned ridges about 9 mi in extent, lying 7 mi NW of Murtaugh Peak in the Wisconsin Range, Horlick Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Franklin E. Ford, construction mechanic with the winter parties at Byrd Station in 1961 and South Pole Station in 1965.
