Description (see definition): A rock spur between Aaron Glacier and Counts Icefall on the E side of Ford Massif, in the Thiel Mountains. A small peak rises from the end of the spur. Mapped by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Thiel Mountains party of 1960-61. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for James L. Gray, Aviation Machinist's Mate, U.S. Navy (USN), who lost his life in a crash of a P2V Neptune aircraft soon after take-off from Wilkes Station, Nov. 9, 1961.
