Description

A mainly ice-covered height, or small plateau, which is a northeastward extension of Pomerantz Tableland. The feature is 5 mi long and ranges from 1,200 to 1,800 m in elevation. It rises directly north of Helfferich Glacier in the Usarp Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs, 1960-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Richard L. Armstrong, U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) geologist at McMurdo Station, 1967-68.
