A flat-topped nunatak about 2 mi long, standing between Ambalada Peak and Terminal Peak in the Prince Albert Mountains, Victoria Land. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1956-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant William R. Griffin, (MC) USN, officer in charge at South Pole Station, winter party 1966.
