An area of low hills and meltwater lakes S of Beaver Glacier in NE part of the Scott Mountains, Enderby Land. Plotted from air photos taken from Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) aircraft in 1956. Named by ANCA after W.E.Howard, a member of the crew of the Discovery during the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE), 1929-31.
