Description (see definition): Glacier, 40 mi long, draining SE between the Guettard and Rare Ranges into the N part of Gardner Inlet. Discovered by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48, under Ronne, who named it for George J. Irvine, of the Engineer Depot at Fort Belvoir, VA, who outlined the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) photographic program.
