An isolated nunatak which lies about 8 mi SE of the head of Cosgrove Ice Shelf and 17 mi ENE of Pryor Cliff, at the extreme N end of the Hudson Mountains. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-66. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Richard E. Kenfield, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) topographic engineer working from Byrd Station in the 1963-64 season.
