Prominent summit 8 mi SW of Mount Josephine, standing at the S end and marking the highest peak in the Alexandra Mountains in Marie Byrd Land. Discovered in February 1929 by the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (ByrdAE), and named by Byrd for John Oliver La Gorce.
