A group of nunataks including Grossenbacher Nunatak, Holtet Nunatak, Christoph Nunatak and Isakson Nunatak, lying W of Grossman Nunataks and 30 mi NW of the Behrendt Mountains, in Ellsworth Land. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1961-67. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Owen R. Lyon, hospital corpsman, USN, chief petty officer in charge of Eights Station in 1965.
